Job summary

Tgs Tw is seeking an experienced audit professional to lead engagements across diverse clients and guide a team of Audit Associates. You will stay current with accounting standards, collaborate with partners, and travel as needed to deliver high-quality audits in a dynamic services environment.

The role requires strong technical accounting knowledge, team leadership, and fluency in Bahasa Malaysia, English, and Mandarin to effectively liaise with Mandarin-speaking clients.

Qualifications

• Candidate must possess at least a Professional Certificate, Bachelor’s Degree/ Post Graduate Diploma/ Professional Degree in Finance/ Accountancy/ Banking.
• Member of ACCA/ MIA/ MICPA/ ICAEW or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of experience in a professional accounting practice.
• Knowledgeable on CCH/ Inflo System.
• Audit experience in well-established professional services firms preferred.
• Languages: Bahasa Malaysia, English and Mandarin (Mandarin proficiency emphasized).

• Review audit workpapers, financial statements and related documents for accuracy and completeness.
• Perform ad-hoc duties such as financial due diligence and IPO-related tasks as needed.

Job description

• Perform audit assignments for clients ranging from various industries.
• Keep updated of changes in accounting standards, regulations, and industry trends, and ensure compliance with relevant requirements.
• Communicating professionally within the team and with external parties to gather information, resolve problems and make recommendations for business and process improvements.
• Travel to different states within and outside Malaysia for audit engagements.
• Collaborate with audit partners and managers to resolve technical accounting and auditing issues as they arise.
• Lead and manage a team of Audit Associate.
• Review audit workpapers, financial statements, and other documentation prepared by team members for accuracy and completeness.
• Perform ad-hoc duties (financial due diligence, Initial Public Offerings corporate exercise and etc.), as necessary.

Job Requirements

• Candidate must possess at least a Professional Certificate, Bachelor’s Degree/ Post Graduate Diploma/ Professional Degree in Finance/ Accountancy/ Banking.
• A member of ACCA/ MIA/ MICPA/ ICAEW or equivalent.
• At least 3 to 5 years of experience gained in a professional accounting practice.
• Knowledgeable and experience on CCH/ Inflo System
• Audit experience in well-established professional services firms will be a given preference.
• Required Language: Bahasa Malaysia, English and Mandarin.
