Job summary

Kuzaimi & Co. is seeking an experienced Audit Professional to plan, manage and execute audits from planning through to completion. You will perform procedures in line with auditing and accounting standards while reviewing working papers and financial statements.

You will guide junior staff, liaise with clients, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality audit reports, while maintaining strong attention to detail and independent work ethics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage audit assignments from planning through to completion.
• Perform and review audit procedures in accordance with applicable auditing and accounting standards.
• Prepare and review audit working papers, financial statements and audit reports.
• Identify and evaluate audit risks and internal control weaknesses.
• Review the work performed by Audit Associates and Junior Auditors.
• Provide guidance, coaching and training to junior audit staff.
• Liaise with clients to obtain necessary information, documents and explanations.
• Monitor audit progress and ensure assignments are completed within the required deadlines.
• Discuss and resolve audit and accounting issues with clients and the audit team.
• Ensure proper documentation and filing of audit working papers.
• Follow up on outstanding audit matters and client queries.
• Assist the Audit Manager/Partner in managing client portfolios and audit assignments.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.

• Good knowledge of auditing standards, accounting standards and financial reporting requirements.
• Able to handle audit assignments independently from planning to completion.

• Able to supervise, guide and review the work of junior audit staff.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and organisational skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel.

• Able to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
• ACCA, MIA or other professional accounting qualifications would be an added advantage.
