Job summary

Flex is seeking an Associate Process Engineer for its Senai, Johor location. This role focuses on process-engineering capabilities aimed at cost, quality and delivery improvements to support the manufacturing organization.

You will understand the manufacturing process, define and evaluate manufacturability, identify root causes of failures, and contribute to ECOs, process control and throughput improvements. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent experience and training.

Responsibilities

• Understand the manufacturing process, technologies, techniques and the product.
• Define, implement and evaluate proposed designs and processes for manufacturability.
• Identify root causes of failures in the manufacturing process.
• Participate in daily production activities and effective problem solving.
• Prepare justification, purchase and implement capital equipment for production.
• Support and oversee new process equipment production.
• Support ECOs and process changes.
• Establish robust, repeatable process parameters.
• Develop and take ownership of process control methodologies.
• Troubleshoot process-related issues.
• Participate in cycle time and process improvements.
• Evaluate and select engineered materials.
• Implement statistical process analysis on new and existing products.
• Improve safety, productivity and yield improvements.
• Develop and maintain process documentation.
• Review processing methods.
• Assist in training production personnel during new technology transfer.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent experience and training
