Job summary

Larian Studios in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, is seeking an Associate Lead Cinematic Artist to help craft high-caliber real-time cinematics and interactive dialogue sequences within our proprietary engine.

The role involves mentoring junior artists, shaping pipelines, and pushing creative boundaries as part of an international team across seven studios. A strong focus on visual storytelling and 3D authorship is essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in an artistic role with a focus on visual storytelling in games or animation.

Responsibilities

• Author realtime cinematics and interactive dialog sequences in our proprietary engine.
• Develop junior talent through artistic feedback sessions and performance review cycles.
• Develop and enforce standard practices for an evolving pipeline and toolset.
• Design features to keep workflows and technology on the competitive edge.

Requirements

• The ideal candidate would have 3+ years in an artistic role with a focus on visual storytelling either in games or animation
• A strong sense of cameras, staging and storytelling
• Interest in film and long form media
• Dedication to growing an artist in parallel with growing as a lead.
• Experience with 3D authorship

Nice to Haves

• 1+ years experience leading or coordinating a team of artists
• Experience in a game engine
