Job summary

OSRAM Opto Semiconductors (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd in Kulim seeks an Associate Engineer (Facilities Management) to lead a team of facility technicians in daily operation and maintenance of HVAC, electrical and process systems to ensure reliable production.

You will troubleshoot and restore facilities after breakdowns, close SAP work orders monthly, raise e-MR for chemicals, and work with engineers to deliver safe, uninterrupted services.

Qualifications

• Diploma or certificate in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering is required.
• Hands-on experience operating and maintaining Electrical, Mechanical and Process systems.
• Facility systems include HVAC, CDA, PVAC, Exhaust, Cleanroom, UPW/RODI, Waste Water Treatment, Process Gases & Solvent Supply.
• Chargeman certificate is an added advantage.
• Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of facility technicians (internal & external) in daily operation and maintenance.
• Troubleshoot and restore facility systems/equipment after breakdowns.
• Maintain facility systems/equipment and ensure up-to-date status.
• Close SAP work orders on a monthly basis.
• Raise e-MR for process chemicals, gases and solvents to ensure stock levels.
• Fulfil requirements set by internal and external customers.
• Escalate facility system interruptions via Whatsapp or email.
• Complete e-Work Requests submitted by external customers.
• Collaborate with engineers and technicians to ensure safe and uninterrupted facilities system.

Your new responsibilities

• Responsible to lead a team of Facility technicians (internal & external) in the day to day operation and maintenance activities.
• Responsible to troubleshoot and restore Facility systems / equipment incase of breakdown.
• Responsible in the maintenance of Facility systems / equipment.
• Responsible to close SAP work orders on monthly basis.
• Responsible to raise e-MR of Process chemicals, gases and solvents to ensure sufficient stocks to supply to production.
• Responsible to carryout and fulfil the requirements set by internal and external customer.
• Responsible for Facility system interruption escalation via Whatsapp or email.
• Responsible for completing e-Work Request submitted by external customers.
• Ability to work with a group of engineers and technicians for safe and uninterruptible facilities system.
• Ability to carried out the job assign independently or minimal supervision and complete the job assign on time.

What we look for

• Diploma or certificate in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering.
• Possessed knowledge and hands-on experience in operating and maintaining Electrical, Mechanical and Process systems.
• Facility systems: Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning (HVAC), Compressed Dry Air (CDA), Process Vacuum (PVAC), Exhaust Systems, Cleanroom, UPW / RODI System, Waste Water Treatment System, Process Gases Supply System and Process Chemical & Solvent Supply System.
• Candidate possessing Chargeman certificate will have added advantage.
• Proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia languages.
