Job summary

OSRAM Opto Semiconductors (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd in Kulim, Malaysia, seeks an Epitaxy Analytics Equipment Associate Engineer to manage analytic and metrology tools in the fabrication environment.

You will perform maintenance, troubleshoot software/hardware, and support process engineers in startup and qualification of new equipment, ensuring safety, quality, and uptime in a cleanroom setting.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering required.
• Experience with Analytic & Metrology equipment strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, vacuum, robot handling, sensors and laser principles beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the performance of Analytic & Metrology tools in fab with min 5 years semiconductor fab experience.
• Perform machine schedule maintenance in clean room and sub facility with timely SAP PM closure.
• Maintain uptime by monitoring parameters and implementing preventive maintenance.
• Troubleshoot tool software/hardware and assist in manufacturing/development tasks.
• Transfer and start-up of new equipment with set-up, hook-up, buy-off and qualification in coordination with process engineers.
• Support improvement projects to identify equipment development potential and collaborate with engineers.
• Maintain 5S, safety and compliance with EHS policies in a cleanroom environment.
• Work independently on shift with long hours in ISO 3–6 environment with proper PPE.

Your new responsibilities

• Responsible for the performance of Analytic & Metrology tools such as photo luminescence, Prober, Candela, XRD, and other associated support tools in fab/fabrication with min 5 years Semiconductor Fab work experience.
• Performing machine schedule maintenance activities in clean room and sub facility with closure SAP PM timely without any safety and quality issue.
• Sustain the running of the equipment ,daily monitoring of all machine & process parameters and addressing line operation issues, ensure the uptime of the equipment with establish and implement preventive maintenance.
• Perform troubleshooting of tool software and hardware part with application of measurement systems, daily SPC buyoff, also need to assist engineer's tasks in manufacturing and also development environment
• Transfer and start-up of new equipment, set-up procudure, hook-up, buy-off and qualification of new equipment together with process engineer as team, ensure processes and equipment are compliance to EHS policy.
• Support and perform continuous improvement project to identify equipment development potential, and support development activities together with engineers
• Maintain good 5S, maintenance work quality and safety, carrying out all task compliance to EHS and safety regulations with high senstivity on safety requirement
• Able to work shift with long hours under cleanroom environment under class ISO 3,4,5 and 6 with jumpsuit and booties garment, face mask, and gloves.

What we look for

• Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• Experience in Analytic & Metrology equipment, in-depth knowledge of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, vacuum, robot handling, sensor and laser working principles
• Ability to perform mini hardware implementation project to apply hardware standardization and tool matching
