Job summary

ams OSRAM Malaysia is seeking an Associate Engineer to maintain Wet Chemistry equipment, including Metal Lift-off systems, Chemical Spray tools, Wet Benches and SRD tools. You will perform scheduled PMs, troubleshoot issues, support uptime, yield, and cost efficiency, and assist in process transfers and new implementations to meet KPIs.

Requirements include a Diploma in Mechanical, Mechatronic, Electrical, Electronics or Production Engineering, at least 5 years hands-on experience with Veeco,

Qualifications

• Diploma in Mechanical, Mechatronic, Electrical, Electronics or Production Engineering.
• At least 5 years of hands-on experience in Wet Benches, Spray tools, and single-wafer chamber systems (Veeco, Siconnex, SCREEN).
• 5+ years experience in semiconductor/foundry environment preferred.
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to handle stress.
• Able to work in rotating shift pattern.

Responsibilities

• Maintain Wet Chemistry equipment including Metal Lift-off, Chemical Spray tools, Wet Benches and SRD tools.
• Perform preventive maintenance and document PM activities.
• Provide line support for equipment setup, recovery and corrective maintenance to meet KPIs.
• Support process transfers and new implementations to improve uptime, yield and cost efficiency.
• Train junior technicians and provide guidance.

• The associate engineer is responsible for maintaining Wet Chemistry equipment including Metal Lift-off systems, Chemical Spray tools, Wet Benches, and SRD tools by performing scheduled preventive maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, supporting engineers in improving uptime, yield, and cost efficiency, and assisting in process transfers and new implementations, with required expertise in Veeco, Siconnex Spray, and SCREEN Wet Bench tools.
• Provide line support for equipment setup, recovery & corrective maintenance to meet KPIs defined in the Wet department.Perform Preventive Maintenance (PM) and complete PM documentation as required.
• Able to perform advance machine troubleshooting. Knowledge to Wet tools (Metal Lift-off, Chemical Spray tool, Wet Benches and SRD tool) is a must. Ensure the compliance to 5S, Cleanroom & Safety Protocol.
• Support the Tools setup, installation & qualification. Plan & execute projects to improve Overall Equipment Efficiencies (Speed/Cost/Quality).
• Support process team for evaluation & process verification.
• Provide guidance and traning to the junior technicians and technicians.
• Diploma in Mechanical, Mechatronic, Electrical, Electronics, Production Engineering or equivalent.
• At least with at least 5 years of hands-on experience in Wet Benches, Spray tools, and single-wafer chamber systems such as Veeco, Siconnex, and SCREEN.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in semiconductor/foundry environment is preferred.
• Good interpersonal skills, responsible and able to handle stress.
• Able to work in rotating shift pattern.
