Configure and maintain comprehensive customer master data in specific systems (SFDC, SAP, etc), including accurately inputting and updating contact details, account information, and customer-specific regulatory compliance data relevant to medical devices
Classify customers based on their purchasing behavior, market segment (such as hospitals, clinics, or research institutions), and strategic importance
Set up and continuously update pricing master data based on approvals, implementing and managing discounts, promotional pricing, and volume-based pricing structures
Ensure all price lists are up-to-date in line with market and regulatory changes
Regularly review and clean master data to eliminate duplicates, correct errors, and enhance data quality
Cross-reference data from multiple sources, validate against industry standards and internal guidelines, and enforce data governance policies
Serve as the main data-related contact for Chinese sales teams, providing timely data support and guidance on using and interpreting master data
Communicate directly with internal or external customers to gather accurate master data, verify contact details, and resolve data-related inquiries promptly
Collaborate closely with IT, finance, and supply chain teams to optimize master data systems and align customer and pricing data with business operations
Analyze master data trends to identify improvement areas, examine customer purchasing patterns, and generate regular reports on master data status
Fluent in both spoken and written Chinese and English
Proficient in using master data management systems, preferably those tailored to the medical device industry
Experience with SAP or other ERP systems' master data modules, especially with industry-specific functionality
Strong skills in data entry, data cleaning, and data analysis tools like Excel
At least 3-5 years of experience in master data management, preferably in the medical device industry
Deep understanding of the industry's data requirements, regulatory environment, and market dynamics
Solid understanding of customer and pricing data management principles and best practices
Knowledge of medical device product cataloging, classification, and pricing models
High attention to detail and strong commitment to data accuracy
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with internal and external partners across different cultures and departments
