We are seeking an Assistant SPA Manager to join THE RUMA HOTEL KL's wellness team in Kuala Lumpur. This is a full‑time position offering an exciting opportunity to support the management and operations of our luxury spa facility. As Assistant SPA Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring exceptional service delivery, maintaining operational excellence, and contributing to the strategic development of our spa services. This position bridges operational management with guest experience, making it integral to the hotel's commitment to wellness and luxury hospitality.
Assist in the day-to-day management and supervision of spa operations, ensuring smooth functioning of all facilities and services
Oversee scheduling, rostering and staff coordination to ensure adequate coverage during all operational hours
Monitor and maintain spa facilities, equipment and amenities to the highest standards of cleanliness and functionality
Support the implementation and adherence to spa protocols, safety standards and health regulations
Provide exceptional customer service and resolve guest concerns promptly and professionally
Assist in staff training, development and performance management to maintain service quality
Support inventory management, procurement and cost control initiatives
Contribute to marketing initiatives and promotional activities to increase spa revenue and guest bookings
Maintain records, reports and documentation related to spa operations and performance metrics
Collaborate with other hotel departments to ensure seamless integration of spa services within the broader guest experience
Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality Management, Spa Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a luxury hotel spa or wellness environment.
Good knowledge of spa operations, wellness treatments, guest service standards, and retail sales.
Experience in managing daily spa operations, therapist scheduling, inventory control, and revenue targets.
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle guest feedback and resolve complaints professionally.
Knowledge of health, hygiene, safety, and sanitation standards applicable to spa operations.
Ability to train, coach, and motivate spa associates to achieve service excellence.
Familiarity with spa booking/POS systems is an advantage.
Good command of spoken and written English. Additional languages are an advantage.
Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
