Job summary

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, 12 years of site supervision experience, and is registered with the Board of Engineers Malaysia.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 years of proven site supervision experience on road and bridge projects.
• Registered with the Board of Engineers Malaysia.
• Solid understanding of civil engineering, construction methods, and QA processes.
• Knowledge of Malaysian construction regulations and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and managerial guidance to Clerk of Works.
• Coordinate with site personnel to ensure work aligns with drawings and specs.
• Assist Resident Engineer in monitoring progress and mitigating delays.
• Review QA plans and HSSE manuals by WPC.
• Collaborate with RE to evaluate method statements, materials, shop drawings, and traffic plans.
• Respond to technical inquiries from WPC and coordinate design changes.
• Assist RE in reviewing project reports (diaries, progress, QAQC, HSSE, maintenance, traffic, incidents).
• Verify WPC work for interim claims.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Providing technical and managerial guidance and direction to the Clerk of Works (COWs).
• Coordinating with site personnel to ensure all construction activities align with project drawings and specifications, meeting the required quality standards.
• Assisting the Resident Engineer (RE) in monitoring project progress, identifying potential delays, and recommending mitigation measures.
• Reviewing and ensuring compliance with Quality Assurance Plans and HSSE (Health, Safety, Security, and Environment) Manuals prepared by the Work Package Contractor (WPC).
• Collaborating with the RE to evaluate method statements, proposed materials, shop drawings, and traffic management plans submitted by the WPC for site operations.
• Responding to technical inquiries from the WPC and coordinating with design engineers for any required design changes.
• Assisting the RE in reviewing and maintaining various project reports, including Site Diaries, Monthly Progress Reports, QAQC (Quality Assurance Quality Control) Reports, HSSE Reports, Routine Maintenance Reports, Traffic Management Safety Reports, and Incident Reports.
• Verifying the work completed by the WPC for their interim claims.
