Job summary

UEM Edgenta Bhd in Malaysia is seeking a Senior Construction Site Supervisor to lead technical and management efforts on road and bridge projects.

You will coordinate with site teams, assist the Resident Engineer, review QA/QC and HSSE manuals, and ensure compliance with regulations and project drawings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 12 years of proven site supervision experience in construction.
• Registered with the Board of Engineers Malaysia.
• Solid understanding of civil engineering principles, construction methods, and QA processes.
• Knowledge of Malaysian construction regulations and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and managerial guidance to Clerk of Works (COWs).
• Coordinate with site personnel to ensure alignment with project drawings and specifications, meeting quality standards.
• Assist Resident Engineer (RE) in monitoring progress, identifying delays, and recommending mitigation measures.
• Review QA Plans and HSSE Manuals prepared by the Work Package Contractor (WPC).
• Collaborate with RE to evaluate method statements, proposed materials, shop drawings, and traffic management plans from the WPC.
• Respond to technical inquiries from the WPC and coordinate with design engineers for design changes.
• Assist RE in reviewing and maintaining Site Diaries, Monthly Progress Reports, QAQC, HSSE, Routine Maintenance, Traffic Management Safety, and Incident Reports.
• Verify the work completed by the WPC for interim claims.

• Reviewing and ensuring compliance with Quality Assurance Plans and HSSE (Health, Safety, Security, and Environment) Manuals prepared by the Work Package Contractor (WPC).
• Collaborating with the RE to evaluate method statements, proposed materials, shop drawings, and traffic management plans submitted by the WPC for site operations.
• Responding to technical inquiries from the WPC and coordinating with design engineers for any required design changes.
• Assisting the RE in reviewing and maintaining various project reports, including Site Diaries, Monthly Progress Reports, QAQC (Quality Assurance Quality Control) Reports, HSSE Reports, Routine Maintenance Reports, Traffic Management Safety Reports, and Incident Reports.
• Verifying the work completed by the WPC for their interim claims.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
