Job summary

Private Advertiser is seeking an Assistant Manager, Purchasing to lead procurement and import operations, driving cost efficiencies and ensuring a reliable supply chain. The role supports purchasing strategies, supplier management, inventory control, and QEHS compliance while guiding the Purchasing team to achieve operational excellence and minimize risks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, Logistics, or related field.
• 5+ years of relevant purchasing/procurement/supply chain experience.
• Experience with import purchasing, shipment coordination, inventory management, and supplier negotiations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement purchasing strategies, supplier management plans, and procurement policies.
• Lead supplier sourcing, evaluation, vendor approval, contract negotiation and long-term purchasing planning.
• Collaborate with Finance, Operations and other departments to forecast demand and manage purchasing activities.
• Oversee PO processing, shipment schedules, terminal clearance, and import documentation (COA, COO, BL).
• Review invoices, SST activities and reporting to ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
• Monitor bulk loss investigations and approve corrective actions or write-offs when needed.
• Monitor safety stocks and analysis results for imported goods.
