Responsibilities

• Assist Production Planner in day-to-day production operations.
• Prepare material planning, order and follow up purchases, and manage stock level.
• Prepare weekly/monthly machine loading plans and shift schedules; issue production orders.
• Update and monitor production schedules and orders; reschedule for urgent orders.
• Ensure correct issuance of cable transfer slips to QC for inspection.
• Compile monthly management reports (Materials Saving, Production Performance, Machine Breakdowns, WIP, ISO QMS).
• Review shift schedules with Production Section Leaders; maintain records per ISO QMS.

Job description

• 1. Assist Production Planner- Production in day to day running the Production Department.
• 2. Responsible for the daily job functions of the Production Planning & Control
  • Prepare material planning, order & follow up the materials purchased and manage & control the stock level. All the stock level shall be reviewed regularly as and when the markets / volume of orders is changed.
  • Prepare weekly/ monthly machine loading plan & weekly shift schedule, print & issue production schedule& production orders to all the production sections for manufacturing the cables, ensure all orders are executed as per the schedules and meet the delivery requirements.
  • Update & monitor Production Schedules/ Orders, review the pending orders; make changes to original planning schedules to accommodate sudden changes ( for urgent orders). Re-schedule the whole planning schedules as and when it needed.
  • Ensure all the cable transfer slips are correctly issued and forwarded to QC Department for Final Inspection & Testing.
• 3. Compile all the monthly reports to management for reviewing as following:
  • Materials Saving Report
  • Production Performance report
  • Machine Breakdown Reports
  • WIP Stock Take Report
  • ISO Quality Objectives Reports, etc.
• 4. Review with all Production Section Leaders on the shift schedule vs working schedule.
• 5. File and maintain all the production records & reports according to ISO QMS requirements.
• 6. Liaise with Technical & Quality Assurance and Maintenance & Engineering Departments on product, quality, machine breakdown, preventive maintenance, etc.
• 7. Provide lead time of each type of cable to Sale personnel, as to facilitate them to offer / accept the orders.
• 8. Liaise with Sales and Purchasing Department on production schedule & materials planning vs. delivery, etc.
• 9. Ensure all the production orders and ISO 9001 QMS related records are properly maintained according to the procedures of the ISO 9001 QMS.
