Job summary

Jaya Nets Sdn Bhd in Klang, Selangor, is seeking an Assistant Production Manager to oversee daily manufacturing operations and drive on-time delivery with quality outcomes.

You will lead a production team, implement lean manufacturing practices, monitor OEE, and collaborate with Quality, Maintenance, and Supply Chain to improve productivity. A strong background in engineering and at least 5 years of supervisory experience are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Production Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of manufacturing experience with supervisory or team leadership experience (e.g., Production Executive).
• Strong knowledge of production planning, lean manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, KPIs, OEE and continuous improvement practices.
• Good understanding of ISO quality management systems and workplace safety requirements.
• Strong leadership, communication, and people management skills.
• Able to work independently and meet production deadlines.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Experience with ERP systems is an added advantage.
• Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia. Mandarin is an added advantage for communicating with a multilingual workforce.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and monitor daily production activities to achieve production schedules and customer delivery requirements.
• Ensure production output meets quality, productivity, and cost objectives.
• Lead, coach, and supervise production supervisors and operators to achieve operational excellence.
• Monitor production efficiency, machine utilization, downtime, and labour productivity.
• Work closely with the Quality, Maintenance, Warehouse, Purchasing, and Marketing departments to ensure smooth production operations.
• Investigate production issues and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity, reduce waste, and optimize manufacturing processes.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Monitor production costs and recommend cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality.
• Prepare production reports and management reports.
• Participate in audits, inspections, customer visits, and process improvement projects as required.
• Support new product / raw material introductions and process validation activities.
