Job summary

IoTronix Technologies Sdn Bhd, a fast-growing PCB assembly specialist in Bayan Lepas, Penang, is seeking a production planner. The role focuses on coordinating production schedules with purchasing, warehouse, and logistics to ensure on-time delivery and optimal resource use.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years in production planning or material control, with strong Excel and ERP skills, and capable of working under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years' experience in production planning, material control, or related manufacturing function.
• Fresh graduates will be considered.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Supports overall production and material planning activities to ensure smooth operations, timely delivery, and optimal resource utilization.
• Assist in preparing daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules based on customer orders and forecast.
• Monitor production progress and update planning schedules accordingly.
• Highlight any potential delays or capacity constraints to the Planning Executive.
• Coordinate with production teams to ensure on-time completion of manufacturing orders (MO).
• Check material readiness against the production plan.
• Liaise with purchasing and warehouse teams to ensure material availability before production start.
• Follow up on material shortages and expedite critical items when needed.
• Support in issuing work orders and tracking material flow between kitting, production, and warehouse.
• Follow up shipment status with packing/FG warehouse
• Follow with HQ Shipping Instructions
• Liase with HQ Shipping for next shipment.
• Maintain accurate data in ERP/MRP systems (e.g., MO release, closure, reschedule).
• Generate and update daily/weekly planning reports.
• Ensure system transactions are timely and reflect actual material and production status.
• Act as a liaison between planning, production, warehouse, and logistics departments.
• Support in customer delivery commitment tracking.
• Assist in preparing reports or presentations for planning review meetings.
• Support process improvement initiatives related to planning, material flow, and inventory control.
• Participate in system enhancement or automation projects to improve planning accuracy and efficiency.
• Responsible to co-operate and comply with any procedures, instructions, control measures on EHS instituted by the organization.
• Responsible for taking reasonable care to follow Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) practices - for themselves, their colleagues, and the surrounding environment.
• Understand and adopt the correct practices for handling chemicals, in accordance with the Chemical Management Procedure.
• Aware of the relevant facilities associated with emergency preparedness and response, and understand their roles in ensuring readiness.
• Responsible to assist EHS personnel on conducting regular monitoring and measuring of EHS performance, such as noise risk assessment, chemical health risk assessment (CHRA), ergonomic risk assessment, etc.
• Any ad-hoc task as per assigned by supervisor/manager.

Requirements
