- Measure and record temperature, pulse, blood pressure, and breathing rate.
- Help patients get out of bed or sit in a chair and assist with exercises.
- Distribute medications if certified and change bandages as directed.

Track food and fluid intake and output.
Help patients get out of bed, sit in a chair, or walk using canes or walkers.
Assist physical and occupational therapists with exercise routines.
Transfer patients safely using wheelchairs or lift equipment.
Distribute medications if certified and allowed by state or facility rules.
Change simple bandages and wound dressings.
Apply hot or cold compresses as directed.
