The role involves assisting with bathing, eating, dressing, and hygiene; turning bedridden patients to prevent bedsores; monitoring vital signs and reporting changes; aiding with rehab exercises and safe transfers; and assisting with medications and wound care as allowed by facility rules.

Daily Care and Hygiene
Assist patients with bathing, dressing, and grooming.
Assist with eating and drinking, or feed patients who need help.
Assist patients with using the bathroom or changing adult briefs.
Turn and reposition bedridden patients to prevent bedsores.
Vital Signs and Monitoring
Measure and record temperature, pulse, blood pressure, and breathing rate.
Monitor and report changes in patient condition to the main nurse or doctor.
Track food and fluid intake and output.
Rehabilitation and Mobility Support
Help patients get out of bed, sit in a chair, or walk using canes or walkers.
Assist physical and occupational therapists with exercise routines.
Transfer patients safely using wheelchairs or lift equipment.
Medical and Treatment Support
Distribute medications if certified and allowed by state or facility rules.
Change simple bandages and wound dressings.
Apply hot or cold compresses as directed.
