Qualifications

About the role

MTD Industries Sdn Bhd is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Assistant Marketing Executive (Intern) to join our dynamic team. This is a full-time internship opportunity based in Taman Desa Cemerlang, Johor. In this role, you will support our marketing team in delivering analytical insights and reporting initiatives that drive business decisions across our Manufacturing, Transport & Logistics operations. You will gain valuable hands‑on experience in marketing analysis, data reporting, and campaign support whilst working within a professional, fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the collection, analysis and compilation of marketing data from various sources and campaigns
• Support the creation of marketing reports and performance dashboards to track key metrics and campaign effectiveness
• Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify trends and opportunities within the logistics and transport sector
• Help coordinate and support marketing campaigns, including content preparation and distribution tracking
• Maintain and update marketing databases and records with accurate, timely information
• Assist in preparing presentations and visual reports for internal stakeholders and management review
• Support social media monitoring and engagement tracking across company channels
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver analytical outputs

What we're looking for

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Data Analytics or a related field
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational and time management skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for data analysis and manipulation
• Solid understanding of marketing fundamentals and familiarity with digital marketing concepts
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; additional languages are advantageous
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
• Keen interest in data analysis, reporting and the manufacturing or logistics industry
• Experience with marketing analytics tools, CRM systems or business intelligence platforms (preferred but not essential)
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic setting
