Job summary

Pacific & Orient Insurance Co. Berhad is seeking an Assistant Manager in Pricing & Product Development (Actuarial) to support pricing and development of general insurance products.

You will provide technical assistance across marketing, underwriting, claims management, and system development while coordinating premium structures and rate changes with relevant departments. You will also prepare monthly performance reports, contribute to business projections, and prepare regulator submissions.

Qualifications

• Degree in Actuarial or relevant fields
• Progress in Actuarial examinations
• Strong statistical analysis and problem solving skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Proficient in Microsoft Office

Responsibilities

• Assist in product development and pricing of general insurance products.

Assistant Manager - Pricing & Product Development (Actuarial)

Assist in product development and pricing of general insurance products

Provide technical support on other general insurance related matters, such as marketing, underwriting, claims management and system development

Communicate and coordinate with other departments in terms of premium structure and rate changes, as well as system readiness preparation

Perform monthly monitoring reports for different lines of business and provide insightful analysis to key stakeholders

Perform business projections for business planning

Prepare necessary documents for submission to regulators

Perform User Acceptance Testing

Requirements:

Degree in Actuarial or relevant fields

At least 4 - 5 years of relevant working experience

Good progress in Actuarial examinations

Strong statistical analysis, problem solving and communications skills

Proficient in Microsoft Office

High level of integrity, takes accountability of work and good attitude over teamwork
