Responsibilities

Job description

The role will be responsible for overseeing the month-end closing process, managing comprehensive financial reporting requirements, and supporting continuous improvement in our finance processes. This role requires a detail-oriented professional capable of leading finance operations, ensuring accuracy in reporting, and driving key pillars of the upcoming ERP implementation and Finance Transformation initiatives.

Job Responsibilities

Manage and lead the month-end closing process, ensuring timely and accurate completion of all GL-related activities.

Perform the necessary balance sheet reconciliations on a timely basis.

Oversee the governance of the master data to ensure accuracy and consistency across the financial systems.

Lead the preparation and review of monthly financial reporting packs, monthly consolidation of accounts, and group financial reporting.

Oversee the preparation of quarterly financial statements announcements, annual statutory financial statements, and annual reports in accordance with MFRS.

Lead and coordinate financial reporting deliverables, including the preparation of audit committee and board meeting materials.

Manage day-to-day finance operations, ensuring efficiency and accuracy across core financial processes.

Coordinate with external auditors during the annual audit process.

Maintain and strengthen robust internal controls, ensuring strict compliance with policies and procedures to maintain the integrity of financial data.

Play an active, hands-on role as a key project member in the rollout of the new ERP system, assisting with system testing, data migration, and post-go-live support.

Spearhead Finance Transformation activities, focusing on process optimisation and automation.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address and resolve complex accounting issues and analyse financial data to support strategic decision-making.

Job Requirements

Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field or professional accounting qualification (e.g., MIA, ACCA, CPA, CIMA).

Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in accounting/ finance.

Proven experience in leading month-end closing processes and financial reporting.

Strong understanding of MFRS and internal control frameworks.

Proficient in accounting software and ERP systems.

Experience in implementing accounting systems is an added advantage.

Excellent leadership and team management skills.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
