Job summary

Armstrong Auto Parts Sdn Bhd is seeking an Assistant Manager - Inventory Management Control to assist the manager in maintaining efficient inventory control for raw materials and finished goods. You will oversee the warehouse, supervise the logistics team, and ensure FIFO practices while maintaining accurate stock records.

The role requires strong leadership, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and a drive for continuous improvement in warehouse processes and KPI reporting.

Qualifications

Assistant Manager - Inventory Management Control

This role involves assisting the manager to ensure and maintain inventory and its management.

Key responsibilities

• Work with manager to manage daily operations of raw material and finished goods
• Supervise operation and logistic team members
• Enforce FIFO (First In First Out) principle in storage and replenishment of components to minimize aging, deterioration and wastage
• Perform physical checking of goods and ensure stock cards are implemented and updated
• Perform inventory control of incoming and outgoing goods, cycle counts, and housekeeping (5S)
• Manage stock movement and ensure inventory is properly maintained in physical and system records
• Maintain inventory accuracy and proper documentation
• Participate in continuous improvement activities in warehouse
• Establish policies and standard procedures for material service activities with manager
• Prepare and submit relevant reporting including monthly KPI reports in timely manner

About you

• Ability to manage 3rd party warehouse stock control
• Capability to manage executive and supervisor roles and work collaboratively with the team
• Ability to ensure all documentation is updated in system within 24 hours
• Ability to control inventory by conducting physical stock counts and reconciliation, maintaining >99.5% stock count accuracy
• Ability to monitor sales orders and delivery instructions from customers and ensure parts are delivered accordingly
• Ability to involve in new model packing standard proposals and transportation cost studies
• Capability to monitor and coach warehouse employee performance
