Malaysian Takaful Association in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an Assistant Manager for General Technical and Programme Management Office to help develop program charters, timelines and work plans while coordinating with stakeholders to ensure successful execution.
The role requires 2–4 years PMO experience, strong English and Bahasa Malaysia, and proficiency in MS Office and Canva; you will monitor progress against KPIs, manage risks, and support governance, reporting and event organization.
Assist in developing program charters, timelines, and work plans.
Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective execution of program activities.
Schedule and facilitate meetings, including preparing agendas, documenting minutes and other relevant documents on a timely basis
Governance and Compliance:
Ensure adherence to project and program governance frameworks.
Maintain comprehensive and accurate documentation, including project plans, risk logs, and status reports.
Track and report on key milestones, deliverables, and dependencies.
Monitoring and Reporting:
Monitor program progress against objectives, KPIs, and schedules.
Monitor regular performance reports and dashboards for management.
Identify potential delays or risks and propose mitigation measures.
Risk and Issue Management:
Support the identification and documentation of risks and issues.
Monitor the status of risk mitigation and issue resolution plans.
Escalate critical risks and issues to senior management as needed.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Act as a liaison between working group members, stakeholders in the Takaful Industry, regulators and other related to the program to ensure alignment.
Support communication efforts to ensure all parties are informed of program progress.
Other Related Responsibilities:
Assist in executing or managing the General Takaful-related matters upon request
Assist to organise events for the Takaful Industry which MTA manages
Perform any other related task or duties as assigned by the superior or Head of Department
Job Requirements:
Qualifications:
Education:Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Insurance, Islamic Finance or a related field.
Experience: 2–4 years of experience, preferably in a PMO environment and experience coordinating multi-stakeholder projects is an advantage.
Skills and Competencies:
Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia
Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
Ability to handle competing priorities and meet tight deadlines.
Possess excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office and Canva
Able to work independently with minimum supervision
Able to handle high volume of work with speed and accuracy
Experienced in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, or similar).
