Job summary

VIP Edu HQ Sdn Bhd is seeking an Assistant Manager for Finance & Accounts to lead financial analysis and reporting across a multi-outlet education group. You will read the numbers, explain trends and provide actionable recommendations to improve margins and cash flow, reporting to the Managing Director.

You will build outlet-level P&L dashboards, oversee budgeting and forecasting, and lead a small finance team.

Qualifications

• Must have degree in Accounting or Finance and professional qualifications preferred (ACCA/CIMA/CPA).
• At least 4 years in accounting/finance with solid full-set accounts knowledge.
• Hands-on experience in management reporting, budgeting or financial analysis.
• 1–2 years of experience leading or supervising a team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly executive summary for leadership covering key numbers, trends, risks and recommendations.
• Build and maintain outlet-level P&L and dashboards.
• Analyze cost structure, margins and key financial ratios across outlets and business lines.
• Track tuition fee collection rate and AR ageing; work with branches to improve them.
• Lead annual budgeting and rolling forecasts.
• Model financial impact of new outlets, pricing changes and investments.
• Monitor cash flow and plan working capital needs.
• Lead and develop a small finance team (Accounts Executive and AR Admin).
• Review group consolidation and external accounting work; strengthen controls and automate processes where possible.

Job description

Weip Education is seeking an Assistant Manager for Finance & Accounts to lead financial analysis and reporting. You will read the numbers and explain what they mean: which outlets perform best, where margins come from, and how the cost structure should evolve as the business grows. You will report to the Managing Director and have real influence on business decisions.

Key responsibilities

Prepare a monthly executive summary for leadership covering key numbers, trends, risks and recommendations

Build and maintain outlet-level P&L and performance dashboards

Analyse cost structure, margins and key financial ratios across outlets and business lines

Track tuitionfee collection rate and AR ageing, and work with branch teams to improve them

Lead annual budgeting and rolling forecasts

Model the financial impact of new outlets, pricing changes and investments

Monitor cash flow and plan ahead for working capital needs

Lead and develop a small finance team (Accounts Executive and AR Admin)

Review group consolidation and the work of outsourced accounting firm

Strengthen internal controls and improve finance processes, including automation where it makes sense

About you

Degree in Accounting or Finance; ACCA, CIMA, MIA or CPA (full or part) is a strong plus

At least 4 years of accounting or finance experience, with solid full-set accounts knowledge

Hands-on experience in management reporting, budgeting or financial analysis

At least 1–2 years of experience leading or supervising a team

Strong with numbers and Excel (pivot tables, lookups, financial models)

Able to explain financial insights clearly to non-finance managers

Experience in multi-outlet businesses (education, retail, F&B) is an advantage
