Job summary

Axiom, spun off from Flex, is seeking an Assistant Manager Finance to support consolidated financial reporting and analysis for its Batu Kawan, Penang operations. You will prepare journal entries, forecast data, and detailed commentary on financial changes, while coordinating with tax and treasury teams.

Ideal candidates hold a commerce/accountancy degree with 7+ years of finance experience and relevant certifications. The role offers medical benefits, paid time off and performance bonuses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor level commerce/accountancy degree required or MBA/BBM equivalent.
• At least 7 years of finance experience.
• Professional certification such as CPA/CFP/CMA/CA/CGA or APICS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the timely preparation and review of consolidated financial statements.
• Input journal entries.
• Aggregate and prepare actual and forecast financial data.
• Develop commentary on forecast changes and deviations from targets.
• Assist in quarterly reviews and year-end audits.
• Advise on corporate accounting policies, US GAAP and reconciliations.
• Coordinate with tax, treasury and regional finance managers.

Job Summary Flex intends to spin off its Cloud and Power Infrastructure segment into a new, independent publicly traded company, Axiom, with the spin planned for Q1 2027. If the intended spin occurs, this role will support Axiom, a company focused on critical digital infrastructure and delivering end-to-end power and thermal management solutions for AI data centers and other mission-critical applications. To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add an Assistant Manager Finance located in Mechanical Plant Batu Kawan, Penang. In charge of preparing and researching financial reports in hold up of business needs in order to ensure charges and headcount are passed to the correct business units and to ensure accurate and timely reporting.

Typical Day

• Assist in the timely preparation and review of consolidated financial statements.
• Input journal entries.
• Aggregate and prepare actual and forecast financial data.
• Compare the current forecast against the prior forecast.
• Develop detailed commentary to changes in forecasts and to deviations from targeted financial metrics.
• Assist in quarterly reviews and year-end audit activities.
• Advise reporting entities on corporate accounting policies, U.S. GAAP and BS recons.
• Liaise between corporate tax, treasury and other financial departments and regional and local finance managers in developing internal working partnerships.
• Generate financial reports for review by business team.
• Conduct cost investigation as required.
• Makes recommendations to management regarding cost saving or profit generating opportunities and profitability improvement strategies.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team

• Typically requires a B. Com / B.C. S / M. Com / MBA /BBA/ BBM, any other commerce and Accounts Stream degrees.
• Typically requires 7+ years of finance experience.
• Related professional certification preferred - Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), Certified Management Accountant (CMA), Chartered Accountant (CA), Certified General Accountant (CGA), or a America Production Inventory Control Society (APICS).
