Job summary

Axiom is seeking a Warehouse Manager in Penang (Prai or Batu Kawan) to lead receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations. You will ensure compliance with purchasing and warehousing requirements, manage inventory, and drive efficiency through optimized layouts and security procedures.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) and about 10 years' related experience, with responsibilities spanning budgeting, scheduling, and cost control.

Responsibilities

• Maintains receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by coordinating policies and procedures.
• Ensures compliance with warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements.
• Safeguards operations by establishing security procedures.
• Controls inventory levels with physical counts and data system reconciliation.
• Plans layouts, inspects equipment, and orders repairs/replacements.
• Prepares annual budget and monitors expenditures.
• Monitors workflow and defines work schedules to meet objectives.
• Oversees equipment maintenance and efficiency of handling operations.
• Coordinates cycle counts and physical inventory reconciliation.

Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Warehouse Manager located in Prai or Batu Kawan, Penang.

Typical day & responsibilities

• Maintains receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.
• Complies with local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
• Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols.
• Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with data storage system.
• Maintains physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement.
• Achieves financial objectives by preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
• Monitors volume of business and defines appropriate work schedule.
• Sets productivity and establishes necessary controls to ensure objectives are met.
• Monitors condition and maintenance of operating / material handling equipment.
• Constantly monitors the efficient handling of shipments and receipts to create an error free culture.
• Reviews the loading and unloading schedules to maximize efficiencies and reduce expenses.
• Coordinate floor cycle counts, physical inventory, and reconciling records.

Experience & qualifications

• Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and extensive knowledge of purchasing policies and practices. Master’s degree preferred.
• Typically requires a minimum of 10 years of related experience.
