Qualifications

Regency Specialist Hospital Sdn Bhd is seeking an Assistant Manager, Facility Management to join our team in Johor Bahru, Johor. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our hospital facilities. As Assistant Manager, Facility Management, you will support the Facility Management team in overseeing all aspects of building maintenance, safety compliance, and operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in planning, coordinating, and supervising daily facility maintenance operations and services


• Monitor and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, building codes, and hospital standards


• Oversee the maintenance of medical equipment, building systems, and infrastructure to ensure optimal functionality


• Manage vendor relationships and coordinate third-party service providers for specialised maintenance tasks


• Conduct regular inspections of facilities and identify areas requiring repair or upgrade


• Prepare and maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, inspections, and work orders


• Support budget management for facility maintenance operations and track expenditures


• Respond to maintenance emergencies and coordinate urgent repairs to minimise disruption to hospital operations


• Supervise and mentor junior facility staff, providing guidance and performance feedback


• Liaise with hospital departments to understand their facility needs and prioritise work accordingly


• Implement preventative maintenance schedules to extend the lifespan of equipment and systems

What we’re looking for

• Minimum Bachelor's degree in Civil/Mechanical/Electrical, or a related field


• Minimum 5 years of experience in facility management or maintenance operations, preferably in a healthcare or hospitality setting


• Strong knowledge of building systems, mechanical and electrical maintenance, and health and safety standards


• Proven supervisory or team leadership experience with the ability to motivate and develop staff


• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to respond effectively to maintenance emergencies


• Strong organisational and time management abilities with attention to detail
