Job summary

HEINEKEN Malaysia is seeking a Data-driven Demand Planner to support end-to-end demand planning for our sell-out business. You will translate market insights into accurate forecasts to optimise inventory, ensuring product availability and business growth.

Collaborate with Regional Planning Hub and Commercial teams to incorporate promotions and market trends into plans, monitor performance, and contribute to the monthly Demand Review and S&OP processes.

Qualifications

  • 2–3 years of experience in Demand Planning or related field in FMCG.
  • Experience with S&OP or regional planning hub is a plus.
  • Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with planning systems.

Responsibilities

  • Validate and enhance baseline demand forecasts with local market intelligence.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing and Trade to incorporate promotions into demand plans.
  • Monitor weekly sales performance and identify forecast deviations.
  • Support monthly Demand Review and S&OP with analyses and recommendations.
  • Conduct scenario planning and risk assessments to improve service levels.
  • Track forecast KPIs and perform root-cause analysis.
  • Maintain planning data and product hierarchies in planning systems.
  • Build strong cross-functional partnerships to enable effective decision-making.

Job description

At HEINEKEN Malaysia, we're looking for a data-driven and collaborative Demand Planner to support the end-to-end demand planning process for our sell-out business. Working closely with our Regional Planning Hub and Commercial teams, you'll translate market insights into accurate demand forecasts that enable product availability, optimise inventory and support business growth.

What You'll Do
  • Partner with the Regional Planning Hub to validate and enhance baseline demand forecasts using local market intelligence.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing and Trade teams to incorporate commercial activities, promotions and market trends into demand plans.
  • Monitor weekly sales performance, identify forecast deviations, and provide insights on risks and opportunities.
  • Support the monthly Demand Review and S&OP process by preparing demand analysis and recommendations.
  • Conduct scenario planning and risk assessments to improve service levels while minimising inventory and write-off risks.
  • Track forecast performance through key KPIs such as Forecast Accuracy, Forecast Bias and Service Level, and perform root cause analysis to drive improvements.
  • Maintain accurate planning data and product hierarchies within planning systems while supporting continuous process improvements.
  • Build strong partnerships across Commercial, Supply Chain and the Regional Planning Hub to enable effective decision‑making.
What You'll Bring
  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Industrial/Operations Engineering or a related discipline.
  • 2-3 years of experience in Demand Planning, Supply Chain Planning or Analytics, preferably within an FMCG or fast-moving environment.
  • Exposure to S&OP, Demand Review processes or working with a regional planning hub is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; experience with planning systems such as FuturMaster or SAP is an advantage.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate across regional and local teams.
  • A continuous improvement mindset with a structured and detail-oriented approach to planning.
  • A proactive team player who embodies HEINEKEN's values of collaboration, curiosity and delivering results.
