ibis Sepang Malaysia is seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Housekeeping Manager to oversee public areas, guestrooms, and laundry, reporting to the Director of Housekeeping. You will lead and develop the housekeeping team to deliver consistent cleanliness and guest satisfaction.

The role requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and excellent English communication, with flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience in housekeeping or hospitality teams.
• Service-focused with a genuine commitment to guest satisfaction.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities.
• Proficiency with Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Housekeeping Manager in managing all housekeeping operations to ensure consistent excellence.
• Conduct daily inspections of public areas, guestrooms, building exteriors, and back-of-house areas.
• Monitor and oversee the deep cleaning program, ensuring timely completion and quality benchmarks.
• Assign tasks to housekeeping staff based on priority and special requests, ensuring smooth workflow.
• Supervise staff with clear communication, comprehensive training, coaching, and feedback.
• Train staff, conduct evaluations, address performance issues and recommend actions.
• Issue supplies and inventory at shift start to maintain stock levels while controlling costs.
• Respond to guest questions and requests with a friendly, professional demeanor.
• Ensure compliance with health, sanitation standards and safety regulations.
