Job summary

Impiana Hotel Ipoh is seeking a capable Housekeeping Supervisor to support daily operations and ensure guest rooms and public areas meet the highest standards. You will supervise attendants, inspect spaces, and coordinate with Front Office and Maintenance for efficient service.

The role requires training staff on cleaning procedures, safety, and quality control, while monitoring attendance and performance and assisting with inventory management and budgeting as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising housekeeping teams in a hotel setting.
• Knowledge of cleanliness and safety standards.
• Ability to train, coach, and mentor staff effectively.
• Strong communication with Front Office and other departments.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Executive Housekeeper in daily housekeeping operations.
• Supervise housekeeping attendants and public area attendants.
• Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas for quality.
• Prepare and assign daily work schedules and room allocations.
• Ensure timely cleaning and readiness of rooms for guests.
• Train and mentor staff on cleaning procedures and safety.
• Monitor attendance, productivity, and performance; provide feedback.
• Handle guest requests and resolve housekeeping-related issues promptly.
• Coordinate with Front Office, Maintenance, and Laundry for smooth ops.
• Monitor inventory of supplies, linens, and equipment; assist ordering.
• Ensure proper handling and storage of equipment and chemicals.
• Maintain housekeeping records and inspection logs.
• Support budgeting and administrative duties as needed.

• Supervise and monitor the performance of housekeeping attendants and public area attendants.
• Conduct daily inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas to ensure cleanliness and quality standards are met.
• Prepare and assign daily work schedules and room assignments for housekeeping staff.
• Ensure all rooms are cleaned, inspected, and ready for guest occupancy on time.
• Train, coach, and mentor housekeeping staff on cleaning procedures, safety standards, and service quality.
• Monitor staff attendance, productivity, and performance, providing feedback when necessary.
