Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking an experienced Housekeeping Manager to oversee operations of the Housekeeping Department, covering rooms, public areas and landscape. You will ensure standards, safety and hygiene in line with company policies.

The role requires a Diploma in Hotel Management or higher, excellent English and Bahasa Malaysia, and a minimum of 5 years in a similar capacity, managing a team of at least 100 across diverse nationalities and languages.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Hotel Management or higher.
• Excellent knowledge of hotel linen, amenities and inventory management.
• Experience supervising large teams (100 staff) across diverse nationalities.
• Strong written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise Housekeeping operations for rooms, public areas and landscape.
• Ensure service, safety, hygiene and cleanliness standards per company policies.
• Manage inventories, chemicals and cleaning supplies; control costs and maintain equipment.

Hire, train, supervise, organize, motivates, discipline and counsel employees.

To manage and coordinate the operations of the Housekeeping Department covering rooms, public areas and landscape.

Ascertain the housekeeping operations run smoothly and effectively in accordance with the Company's policies and procedures.

Have excellent knowledge of hotel linen, amenities and management of inventory.

Emphasis on service and room standards, staff development, cost control, hygiene and cleanliness of the hotel.

Must have good knowledge of chemical cleaning and sanitisation methods in compliance with international safety measures.

Well versed with housekeeping inventories, equipment and chemicals usage

A team player and able to work under pressure.

Manage all administrative works efficiently.

Requirements:

Possess Diploma in Hotel Management or Higher

Good command in written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia

Meticulous, discipline and good work conduct

Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar capacity

Must be effective in communications, as this role oversees a staff of at least 100, across multiple nationalities, cultures and languages
