Our client is a listed property development company looking for an Assistant Finance Manager to join their Finance team. This role will be involved in a broad range of general finance and accounting activities , with exposure to the Group’s property development business.
The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to gain exposure and be trained in property development feasibility studies , including project financial analysis and evaluation.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in overseeing day-to-day finance and accounting activities.
- Prepare and review monthly management reports, financial analysis and reporting.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
- Support the preparation of cash flow projections and financial planning.
- Monitor project-related financial performance, costs and expenditures.
- Liaise with internal departments and external parties including auditors, tax agents, company secretaries and bankers.
- Assist in ensuring compliance with accounting standards, statutory requirements and company policies.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Assist in the preparation of Group and subsidiary financial information where required.
- Perform financial analysis and provide insights to support management decision-making.
- Gain exposure to property development feasibility studies , including project cost analysis, revenue assumptions, cash flow projections and basic investment returns analysis.
- Take on ad-hoc finance and business-related projects as assigned.
Requirements
- Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline .
- Professional qualification such as ACCA / CPA / MIA will be an added advantage.
- Minimum 3–5 years of relevant finance and accounting experience , preferably within property development, construction or a listed company.
- Good understanding of general accounting, financial reporting and management reporting.
- Experience in budgeting, forecasting, cash flow or financial analysis will be an advantage.
- Strong Excel and analytical skills.
- Candidates with property development / project accounting exposure will have an added advantage.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with different stakeholders.
- Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
