Job summary

Universal Robina Corporation is seeking an Assistant Manager, Export (International Trading Operations) to lead export sales for the assigned territory from Klang/Batu Pahat. The role emphasizes full P&L accountability, distributor relationships, and achieving key sales KPIs across international trading operations.

The ideal candidate holds a degree in Business/Marketing with 5+ years of related experience, including 3+ years in sales, preferably within FMCG and experience in Modern Trade,

Qualifications

• Minimum degree in Business/Marketing.
• Minimum 5 years related experience with minimum 3 years sales experience.
• Experience in the FMCG industry is an added advantage.
• Experience in managing Modern Trade, General Trade with International exposure.
• Experience in Distributor Management / Close Market System.

Responsibilities

• Be fully accountable for the total Profit & Loss for the assigned territory.
• Establish qualitative and quantitative objectives for key customers and distributors.
• Build a network by developing personal relationships with distributors.
• Establish strategic customer relationships with key accounts.
• Ensure the organization has the latest market information and alerts on opportunities or threats.
• Adapt the organization, roles and training to distributor teams for efficiency and ROI.
• Implement sales initiatives/ launches with speed and effectiveness.
• Achieve sales KPIs set by the company.
• Ensure best possible shelf position for company products.
• Manage promotions within budget.

Position Title: Assistant Manager, Export (International Trading Operations)

Employment Type: Full-time

The Assistant Manager, Export (ITO) is responsible to ensure the sales operations for the assigned region is effectively handled towards the achievement of company’s objectives.

About the Job:

• To be fully accountable for the total Profit & Loss for of the assigned territory
• Established qualitative and quantitative objectives for the Key Customers e.g. Key Accounts (if applicable), Direct Sales Team (if applicable) Distributors and sales force
• Build a good network, by developing personal relationship with the Distributors.
• Build Strategic Customer Relationship with Key Account Customers
• Ensure that his/her hierarchy has the latest market information and alert on outstanding facts, opportunities or threats.
• Think continuously on how to adapt his/her organization, jobs and training to the Distributor team, search for better efficiency and return on investment.
• Ensure implementation of Sales initiative/launches with speed and effectiveness
• Achievement of sales KPIs set by the company
• Ensures best possible situation for company’s products at stores
• Manages promotion expense within budget

About the Person:

• Minimum Degree in Business/Marketing
