Job summary

Universal Robina Munchy's is seeking a Procurement Manager to lead the procurement team, develop sourcing strategies, and drive cost reduction across our fast-moving consumer goods operations. The role emphasizes supplier management, vendor compliance, and ensuring timely delivery of materials in a Just-In-Time framework.

The ideal candidate holds a degree in Business or Supply Chain and has at least five years of related experience, preferably within FMCG.

Qualifications

• Minimum Degree in Business Studies/Supply Chain or related field.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in related fields.
• Experience in the FMCG industry is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Review and formulate procurement strategies and develop a procurement plan.
• Manage supplier relationships and ensure vendor compliance with quality standards.
• Negotiate agreements with suppliers and ensure timely receipt of materials (JIT).
• Ensure procurement activities align with company procedures and ethical standards.
• Monitor supplier quality improvement and continuously improve procurement processes.
• Collaborate across organization to optimize procurement methodology.
• Build strategic alliances with key suppliers to optimize costs.

Position Title: Procurement Manager

Employment Type: Full Time

The Procurement Manager is responsible for managing the Procurement team in developing purchasing strategy, supply and materials sourcing, cost reduction plan and supplier management.

What are the Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible to review and formulate appropriate procurement strategies, processes and to develop a procurement plan based on sourcing needs, with the main objective of driving cost reduction whilst maintaining quality & service.
• Responsible for Supplier Management and vendor compliance to necessary quality accreditation for different product lines.
• Responsible for ensuring agreements with suppliers are negotiated and confirmed and materials are received and processed in Just-In-Time principle.
• Ensure that the procurement of goods and services of specified projects are in accordance with company’s procedures and of the highest ethical standards.
• Monitor the supplier quality improvement program and continuously develop and improve procurement processes.
• Build relationships across all levels of the organization following best practices to ensure optimal use of procurement methodology.
• Build strategic alliance with key suppliers and manage supplier relationship for effective cost and purchasing strategies.
