Job summary

Recron Malaysia is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our textile manufacturing operations in Melaka/Nilai. You will maintain electrical systems, locate transformers, monitor VFDs, motors, switchboards, and control panels, and ensure safe, reliable power distribution.

You will plan maintenance, troubleshoot issues, prepare daily and monthly reports, handle documentation, and liaise with technicians, suppliers and internal departments.

Qualifications

• Degree holder in Electrical Engineering.
• 1–2 years of experience in a related electrical role.
• Strong knowledge of electrical wiring, VFD, motors, switchboards, and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Ability to use tools and inspect equipment.
• Know transformer locations inside factory.
• Take KWH meter readings at transformer rooms.
• Ensure transformer rooms are in good condition.
• Plan and maintain electrical installations including fire systems.
• Repair and replace motor bearings, include greasing.
• Check daily work reports, maintenance, service and breakdowns.
• Repair and troubleshoot electrical equipment such as boiler, air compressor, switchboard LV, earthing system, pump house, hostel equipment.
• Plan and record work for technicians.
• Handle documentation systems procedure in electrical section.
• Power distribution calculation - daily and monthly report.
• ISO recording, filing & documentation.
• As a trainer.

1. ABILITY TO USE WORKING TOOLS AND WORKING INSTRUMENT.

2. ABILITY TO HAVE KNOWLEDGE ON TRANSFORMER AND KNOW ITS LOCATION INSIDE FACTORY.

3. ABILITY TO TAKE KWH METER READING AT ALL TRANSFORMER ROOM.

4. ABILITY TO ENSURE ALL THE TRANSFORMER ROOM ARE IN GOOD CONDITION.

5. ABILITY TO MAKE SCHEDULE AND MAINTENANCE FOR ELECTRICAL INSTALLATION INCLUDE FIRE FIGHTING SYSTEMS.

6. ABILITY TO REPAIRING AND REPLACING MOTOR BEARING INCLUDE TOPUP GREASING.

7. ABILITY TO CHECK DAILY WORK REPORT, MAINTENANCE/SERVICE AND BREAKDOWN WORKS.

8. ABILITY TO REPAIRING AND TROUBLESHOOTING ON ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT SUCH AS BOILER, AIR COMPRESSOR, SWITCHBOARD LOW VOLTAGE, PLANT EARTHING SYSTEM, PUMP HOUSE, HOSTEL ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT AND OTHERS.

9. ABILITY TO PLAN AND RECORD THE WORK FOR TECHNICIAN

10. ABILITY TO HANDLE THE DOCUMENTATION SYSTEMS PROCEDURE IN ELECTRICAL SECTION.

11. POWER DISTRIBUTION CALCULATION-DAILY AND MONTHLY REPORT.

12. ISO RECORDING, FILING & DOCUMENTATION.

Job Requirements:

1. DEGREE HOLDER IN ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING.

2. MINIMUM 1-2 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE IN A RELATED ELECTRICAL ROLE.

3. STRONG KNOWLEDGE OF ELECTRICAL SYSTEM WIRING SUCH AS VFD, MOTOR, SENSOR INSTRUMENT, SWITCHBOARD LOW VOLTAGE, CONTROL PANELS AND TROUBLESHOOTING.

5. ABLE TO COORDINATE EFFECTIVELY WITH CUSTOMERS, TECHNICIANS, SUPPLIER AND INTERNAL DEPARTMENTS.
