The role involves leading engagements, developing audit strategies, reviewing working papers and financial statements, evaluating internal controls, and mentoring staff while ensuring compliance with standards and regulations.

Lead and manage audit engagements for a diverse portfolio of clients, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
Develop audit strategies, allocate resources, set budgets and timelines, and oversee audit team performance.
Review audit working papers, financial statements, accounting policies and disclosures to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Evaluate internal control systems, identify risks and recommend improvements to policies and procedures.
Identify significant accounting and auditing issues and provide practical solutions to clients.
Prepare and present audit reports, communicate findings, and follow up on corrective actions with clients.
Monitor engagement budgets, work-in-progress (WIP), billing and collection activities.
Supervise, coach and mentor audit team members to ensure quality work and continuous professional development.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Malaysian tax regulations, accounting standards and relevant legislation.
Build strong client relationships and support the team in delivering high-quality professional services.
Minimum 6 years of relevant external audit experience.
Strong knowledge of Malaysian accounting standards, tax regulations and auditing requirements.
Proven leadership, team management and client relationship management skills.
Excellent written and spoken English, with strong communication and report-writing abilities.
Proficient in computer applications and audit-related software.
Strong analytical, problem-solving and attention-to-detail skills.
Proactive, resourceful and able to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Good time management skills and the ability to manage multiple audit engagements effectively.
