Job summary

bp is seeking a Category Strategy Support Manager – Assets to develop and execute category strategies, optimise supplier performance, and mitigate risk across assets spend. You will work with Category Managers, stakeholders, and suppliers to deliver strategic insights and value across global asset-related categories.

The role requires 8–10 years in indirect procurement or related fields, with experience in retail assets or property-related categories.

Qualifications

• Requires degree in related discipline and 8–10 years in indirect procurement or category management.
• Experience building category strategies and conducting market analysis; strong stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

• Support development and execution of category strategies across Assets categories.
• Lead a category support team and manage delivery to stakeholders.
• Develop presentations, reports, and strategic communications for decision-makers.
• Partner with stakeholders and suppliers to identify cost optimisation and value creation opportunities.
• Drive supplier performance management, risk assessments, and issue resolution.
• Lead continuous improvement in category management processes and governance frameworks.
• Manage procurement buying channels and ensure contract compliance.
