Job summary

Mills Recruitment is recruiting for a Process Engineer - Assembly in Johor Bahru, Malaysia to lead assembly process development for automotive wiper systems. This role covers design, qualification, and implementation from quotation through production launch.

The ideal candidate has a mechanical/ manufacturing/industrial engineering background with 3+ years in assembly process engineering, plus hands-on experience across assembly, welding, and automated lines, and proficiency in SOLIDWORKS and

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering.
3+ years of assembly process engineering experience (5+ years preferred).
Hands-on experience in assembly, machining, welding or automated lines, including NPI.

Responsibilities

Design, develop and optimise assembly and machining processes for automotive wiper systems, including welding and automated lines.
Prepare PFMEA, Control Plans and Process Flow Diagrams and Technical Review documents per project milestones.
Review customer SOR packages and quotation documents, assess manufacturability and support process-related quotations.
Design and develop fixtures, jigs and gauges for transmission assemblies to ensure production accuracy and efficiency.
Install, commission, test and validate tooling to meet manufacturing requirements.
Support prototype builds, process validation and troubleshooting through to production launch.
Coordinate with internal teams and drive continuous improvement in efficiency, process stability and product quality.
