Job summary

Private Advertiser in Malaysia is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead equipment assembly, integration and NPI activities. You will interpret drawings, supervise alignment and functional testing, and drive process improvements.

You will collaborate with Production, Quality and Project Management, support ECN/ECO changes, and train junior engineers while promoting Lean, 5S and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Manufacturing or related field.
• At least 4 years of engineering experience in equipment assembly, integration, testing or NPI.
• Familiar with CAD tools and GD&T.

Responsibilities

• Support equipment assembly and integration, interpret engineering drawings and oversee alignment, calibration and functional testing.
• Resolve technical issues before shipment and conduct root-cause analysis (5 Why, 8D, CAPA).
• Develop fixtures and process improvements, and follow through on corrective actions.
• Support new product introduction and product transfer, including documentation review, manufacturing readiness, prototypes, first article qualification and ECN/ECO changes.
• Act as technical contact for customers, join reviews and visits, and prepare technical reports.
• Work with Production, Quality, Procurement and Project Management.
• Support scheduling and manpower planning, and maintain work instructions.
• Guide and train junior engineers and technicians.
• Promote Lean, 5S and continuous improvement.
