Job summary

Plassein Industry Sdn Bhd in Johor is seeking a Senior Executive in Engineering - Industrial to plan, design and optimize assembly processes, tools and workflows to meet production and quality targets on the shop floor.

You will analyze process performance data, develop SOPs, collaborate with design, production and quality teams, conduct time studies, ensure ISO/safety compliance, and train operators.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent).
• Minimum 3 years of experience in process or production engineering, preferably in assembly operations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, or Six Sigma principles.
• Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD, and relevant manufacturing tools/software.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

Working Condition

• 2 Standard working hours with possible overtime during project launches or production ramp-up.
• 3 Mandatory use of PPE in operational areas.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

• 1 Assembly Line Efficiency: ≥ 90% target uptime and productivity.
• 2 Defect Rate: ≤ 1% of total production output.
• 3 Process Improvement Implementation: At least 2 major process enhancements per quarter.
• 4 Downtime Reduction: Maintain unplanned downtime below 3% of total operating time.
• 5 Compliance: Zero safety or ISO non-conformances in assembly processes.
