Qualifications

• 3 years of working experience in optical manufacturing or production environments.
• Basic proficiency in operating cut, edge and fit equipment and frame alignment.
• Ability to follow instructions and maintain high precision.
• Collaborate effectively with a team to achieve agreed results.

Responsibilities

• Perform fitting operations on optical lenses and frames (full frame, Rimless).
• Ensure products meet quality standards and specifications, including optical clarity.
• Conduct regular inspections during and after edging and fitting processes.
• Operate machines and equipment supporting CEF production such as tracer, blocker, drilling and grooving tools.
• Maintain production machines and perform preventive maintenance where needed.
• Identify and address defects in cut, edge and fit processes and implement corrective actions.

Purposeofthisposition/Positionsummary:

TheCutEdgeandFit(CEF)OperatorIIintheopticalindustryisresponsibleforperformingadvancedcutting,edging,andfittingoperationsonopticallensesandframes.Thisrolerequiresahighlevelofprecisionandattentiontodetailtoensurethatallproductsmeetqualitystandards.Theoperatorwillworkcloselywiththeteamleadandothertechnicianstoachieveproductiontargetsandmaintainasafeworkingenvironment.

Primarydutiesandresponsibilities:

OperationalDuties

Performfittingoperationsonopticallensesandframes(fullframe,Rimlon&Rimless)

Ensurethatallproductsmeetqualitystandardsandspecifications,includingopticalclarityandprecisionfitting.

Conductregularinspectionsoflensesandframesduringandaftertheedging&fittingprocess.

AbilitytooperatemachinesandequipmentsupportingCEFproductionsuchasTracer,Blocker,manualdrillingmachine,manualGroover,lensmeter&thicknessgauges
