United Overseas Bank (Malaysia) Bhd is seeking an FVP, Unit Head / Senior Specialist – AS400 & System Infrastructure to lead administration and lifecycle management of AS400 systems. The role demands deep AS400 expertise and potential progression into a leadership position within the team.

You will oversee infrastructure planning, optimization, and collaboration with related teams to ensure reliable, scalable AS400 solutions and related tools such as Mimix, Connect:Direct, and Control‑M.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years hands-on AS400 system administration.
• Strong technical knowledge in AS400 architecture, CL programming, system commands, and performance tuning.
• Experience with infrastructure tools listed above is highly desirable.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex system issues and implement effective solutions.
• Leadership experience.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee AS400 system setup, configuration, maintenance, and optimization.
• Perform OS and third‑party software installation and upgrades.
• Monitor and tune OS and online applications for performance.
• Conduct system and storage capacity planning and management.
• Review and perform periodic maintenance on hardware and software.
• Investigate and resolve system‑related problems promptly.
