Job summary

Michael Page Malaysia is seeking a senior Policy Asia system specialist for the General Insurance domain. You will develop, enhance, and maintain the Policy Asia system, translating business requirements into robust technical solutions and delivering scalable IT deliverables.

Ideal candidates will have 8+ years in GI tech, deep Policy Asia expertise, and strong COBOL/SQL skills on AS400/IBM i with BusinessObjects.

Qualifications

8+ years hands-on experience with the Policy Asia system.
Deep General Insurance industry knowledge and related business processes.
Proven technical expertise in Smart COBOL, SQL/DB2 on IBM i/AS400.
Strong understanding of Policy Asia architecture, data flows and system integrations.
Experience across the full SDLC from requirements to post-production support.

Responsibilities

Developing, enhancing, maintaining, and supporting the Policy Asia system.
Analysing business and functional requirements and translating them into technical solutions.
Supporting General Insurance products and related functionalities.
Investigating system issues, performing root cause analysis, and implementing resolutions.
Ensuring scalable, maintainable enhancements aligned with standards.
Collaborating with stakeholders across SDLC and ensuring smooth data flow.
