Job summary

Luxoft Malaysia is seeking an experienced AS400 developer in Kuala Lumpur to design, develop and support core banking applications including Loans & Credit modules. You will work on RPG, C programming and DB2, contributing to deployment and operational readiness in a banking tech center.

The role requires 3–5 years in AS400 development, strong problem solving, and the ability to coordinate with business, testing, infrastructure and support teams to deliver reliable banking solutions.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of AS400 development experience.
• Hands-on RPG and C programming skills.
• Experience with AS400 and DB2.
• Experience in Core Banking or lending domains.
• Exposure to DevOps and deployment activities including Rocket Aldon.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical abilities.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to work independently in project/support environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance and maintain Core Banking applications related to loans, credit and related modules.
• Perform impact analysis and implement change requests and defect fixes.
• Support DevOps and deployment activities within AS400 environments with Rocket Aldon.
• Analyse, troubleshoot application and database issues; support batch processing.
• Perform unit testing and assist SIT/UAT; ensure production stabilization.
• Maintain technical and deployment documentation; coordinate with teams.

• The Technology and Operations function is comprised of five teams of specialists with distinct capabilities: business partnership, technology, operations, risk governance, and planning support and services. They work closely together to harness the power of technology to support our physical and digital banking services and operations. This includes developing, centralising, and standardising technology systems as well as banking operations in Malaysia and overseas branches.
• The client has more than 80 years of history in the banking industry and is expanding its footprint in Malaysia.
• You will be working in a newly set-up technology centre located in Kuala Lumpur as part of Technology and Operations to deliver innovative financial technology solutions that enable business growth and technology transformation.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, enhance, and maintain Core Banking applications related to:

• Support DevOps and deployment activities within AS400 environments.

Database & Platform Support
