Qualifications

• 6–9 years of experience in Application Production Support with at least 3 years in L3 support.
• Strong experience with Core Banking apps on the AS400 platform.
• Excellent debugging, troubleshooting and RCA skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide L3 production support for Core Banking applications on AS400.
• Investigate, troubleshoot and resolve complex production incidents within SLAs.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement permanent fixes.
• Analyze logs, performance, and database issues to identify bottlenecks.
• Support incident, problem, and change management per ITIL best practices.
• Develop and deploy fixes, patches, and enhancements as required.
• Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and database teams during deployments.
• Execute health checks, monitoring, and proactive maintenance.
• Create documentation, runbooks, and knowledge base articles.
• Participate in on-call and after-hours support for critical incidents.

We are looking for an experienced Sr. Production Support professional with a strong background in AS400 systems to join our team in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of production support processes and have a proven track record of resolving complex technical issues efficiently.

This role requires close collaboration with development, infrastructure, database, and business teams to maintain high service levels and minimize operational disruptions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide L3 production support for Core Banking applications running on the AS400 platform.
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve complex production incidents within agreed SLAs.
• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement permanent solutions to prevent recurring issues.
• Analyze application logs, system performance, and database issues to identify production bottlenecks.
• Support incident, problem, and change management processes in accordance with ITIL best practices.
• Develop and deploy application fixes, patches, and enhancements when required.
• Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and database teams during production deployments and releases.
• Execute production health checks, monitoring activities, and proactive maintenance tasks.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, support runbooks, and knowledge base articles.
• Participate in on-call support and provide after-hours support during critical incidents or planned releases.
• Work closely with business users and stakeholders to ensure timely resolution of production issues.

Required Skills:

• 6-9 years of experience in Application Production Support with at least 3 years in L3 support.
• Strong experience supporting Core Banking applications on the AS400 platform.
• Hands-on experience in the Investment & Wealth domain.
• Proficiency in .NET and SQL development and troubleshooting.
• Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server, including query optimization and performance tuning.
• Experience working in Windows/Open Systems environments.
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis skills.
• Good understanding of production support processes, incident management, and release management.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, mission-critical production environment.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Experience in Wealth Management applications and business processes.
• Familiarity with ITIL framework and service management tools.
