Job summary

U Mobile Sdn Bhd in Melaka is seeking an Area Sales Manager to lead the sales team and work with distributors across Melaka & Johor to drive dealer portfolios and hit sales KPIs. The role requires strong field sales experience and willingness to travel daily.

Based in Melaka with own car, you will manage prepaid and postpaid dealer activations, provide training, and execute sales strategies to grow U Mobile's presence in the region. Join a dynamic telecom team with active dealer engagement.

Qualifications

• Must be based in Melaka.
• Must have own car and willing to travel daily.
• At least 6 years of relevant experience in outdoor/field sales in telco/FMCG/retail or any relevant industry and 3 years of experience in managing team.
• Able to aggressively work with dealers to commit sales target given.
• Good communication/interpersonal and negotiation skills.
• Able to cope with ad hoc tasks given.

Responsibilities

• Lead sales team and work closely with distributors in planning & guiding to achieve KPIs assigned.
• To conduct daily visit existing dealers stores that sell U Mobile products to provide service, support and build relationship within the assigned areas.
• To build and drive the growth of prepaid & postpaid U Mobile active dealers target by: Achieve assigned pyramid level dealers target; Continue deepening dealer’s loyalty through activations (Prepaid with plans and Postpaid); Perform trade visit and provide tactical ground support to ensure optimum sales performance; Vigilant to market movement through market intelligence.
• Ensuring dealers have proper knowledge and training on: System: Genuine and accurate activations through control system & system knowledge; Product: Full range of products; How to Sell: Accurate and correct information given; Incentives / Pyramid: Proper guidance in building loyalty; POSM: Latest & up to date POSM.
• To execute and monitor effectiveness of sales strategy and promotion plan to support expansion of U Mobile product & services in assigned areas & territories.
