Job summary

MR DIY Malaysia is seeking an experienced Area Retail Manager to lead store operations across the assigned region, driving sales and profitability while ensuring compliance with company policies and local laws.

You will monitor performance, visit stores, hire and develop store managers, coach staff, and collaborate with marketing, finance, and operations to align with company goals. Strong leadership and a track record in retail management are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years’ retail management experience, including at least 3 years in a managerial role.
• Proven track record of driving sales growth and profitability.
• Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills.
• Solid understanding of retail operations, including inventory management, visual merchandising, and customer service.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

• Ensure that all stores are operating within company policies and procedures and are in compliance with local laws and regulations

• Hire, train, and manage the performance of store managers and staff within the assigned area
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide coaching and feedback to store managers and staff to improve performance and address any issues
• Identify opportunities for growth and improvement within the assigned area and work with senior management to develop and implement plans to capitalize on these opportunities
• Ensure that all stores maintain high levels of customer satisfaction by providing excellent customer service and resolving any customer issues in a timely and professional manner
• Collaborate with other departments within the company, including marketing, finance, and operations, to ensure that all stores are aligned with company goals and objectives
