Job summary

Valiram in Penang seeks a Store Manager to own the day-to-day operations, partnering with the Retail Operations Manager to execute brand strategy at store level and lead a team to deliver a premium luxury customer experience.

You will drive store sales, ensure inventory accuracy, VM alignment, and compliance with SOPs, while building strong client relationships and continuously enhancing product knowledge to support brand growth.

Qualifications

• 5–6 years of fashion retail experience, with 2+ years in a managerial role.
• Strong sales, operations, inventory control, and store performance skills.
• Excellent customer service and clienteling abilities to sustain luxury image.

Job description

The Store Manager acts as the day-to-day business owner, partnering with the Retail Operations Manager/Multi-Store Manager to execute brand strategy at store level, while managing operations and people to support broader brand growth objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive store-level sales performance and achievements of targets;
• Execute brand initiatives and strategies effectively at store level;
• Deliver exceptional customer service while uploading the brand’s luxury image.

B. Store Operations:

• Ensure full compliance with SOP, including VM and cash handling;
• Maintain high standards of store cleanliness;
• Ensure VM is executed in line with brand guidelines.

C. Inventory Management & Reporting:

• Oversee stock management and inventory accuracy;
• Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies in a timely manner;
• Ensure accurate and timely submission of required reports.

D. Compliance & Development:

• Adhere to company policies, procedures and compliance standards;
• Handle customer concerns professionally and effectively;
• Continuously enhance product knowledge to support sales and customer engagement.

Key Requirements:

• Minimum 5-6 years of experience in fashion retail, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
• Strong sales acumen and operational capability, including inventory control, merchandising, and store performance.
• Excellent customer service and clienteling skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers.
