Job summary

Konsortium Malaysia seeks an experienced Architect to join our Kuching project team for a long‑term assignment. You will coordinate architectural works, review designs and supervise construction in line with drawings and specifications.

Roles may include Resident Architect duties for the project duration, with site supervision, documentation, and liaison with clients and authorities. Degree in Architecture and 10+ years of relevant experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Degree in Architecture or equivalent recognised qualification.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant architectural experience, preferably involving major building, infrastructure or multidisciplinary projects.
• Strong experience in both design and construction/site implementation.

Responsibilities

• Review architectural drawings, specifications, submissions and construction documentation.
• Coordinate architectural works with structural, civil, M&E and other project disciplines.
• Monitor construction works for compliance with approved drawings, specifications and design intent.
• Attend site, technical, coordination and progress meetings as required.
• Review contractor submissions, shop drawings, material proposals and architectural details.
• Identify and assist in resolving architectural and site coordination issues.
• Liaise with the Client, consultants, contractors and relevant authorities.
• Where appointed as Resident Architect, provide site‑based architectural supervision and reporting throughout the construction period.
• Maintain proper records of architectural matters, inspections, instructions and project correspondence.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Architect to join our project team for a long-term project based in Kuching, Sarawak. The successful candidate will be involved in architectural coordination, design review, construction‑stage support and ensuring that works are implemented in accordance with approved drawings, specifications and relevant requirements. Depending on experience, suitability and project requirements, the successful candidate may also be appointed or deployed as the Resident Architect (RA) for the project. This will be a 4 year contract arrangement.

Key responsibilities

Review architectural drawings, specifications, submissions and construction documentation.

Coordinate architectural works with structural, civil, M&E and other project disciplines.

Attend site, technical, coordination and progress meetings as required.

About you

Degree in Architecture or equivalent recognised qualification.

Good understanding of architectural drawings, specifications, construction methods and contract documentation.

Strong coordination, communication and problem‑solving abilities.

Experience serving as a Resident Architect or in a similar site‑based role will be an advantage.

Willing and able to be based in Kuching, Sarawak for the project duration.
