Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking an Application Support professional to provide first- and second-line support for critical applications in an air-gapped network. You will triage issues, monitor health with on-prem monitoring tools, and assist with secure code transfers and deployments according to runbooks.

You will work within strict security controls, maintain detailed logs, and document findings for developers and platform teams while ensuring changes are tested and well-documented.

Qualifications

• Basic familiarity with Linux/RHEL environments.
• Exposure to container/Kubernetes platforms such as OpenShift.
• Familiarity with Huawei Cloud Stack or other private/hybrid clouds.
• Basic SQL skills for querying and troubleshooting data issues.
• Understanding of how applications work (frontend/backend/API).
• Knowledge of ITIL incident/problem/change management processes.
• Willingness to operate under strict security and vetting requirements.
• Strong documentation habits and ability to log actions manually when needed.
• Good communication to explain technical issues to varied audiences.
• High attention to detail and adherence to runbooks.

Responsibilities

• Provide first- and second-level support for business-critical applications within an air-gapped network.
• Identify and triage application issues and route to the appropriate team for resolution.
• Monitor health using on-premises/local tools and escalate as needed.
• Perform basic operational tasks such as service restarts and log checks.
• Support secure transfer of code releases and logs across air gaps following runbooks.
• Assist with deployments and version upgrades in offline/restricted networks.
• Document findings and assist with root cause investigations for developers.
• Maintain and update support documentation, runbooks, and knowledge bases.
• Support user access management, environment configuration, and minor data fixes.
• Participate in change management with proper testing and documentation.

We are initiating Application Support position to support the CPA Project. The role will be responsible for application and operational support activities, including incident management, troubleshooting, system monitoring, deployment support, and change management activities to ensure the stability and availability of business-critical applications.

• Support basic root cause investigation by gathering logs, reproducing issues, and documenting findings for developers/platform teams
• Maintain and update support documentation, runbooks, and knowledge base articles specific to the application and platform stack
• Support user access management, environment configuration, and minor data fixes as required
• Participate in change management processes, ensuring changes are properly tested and documented before release
• Maintain detailed logs of all changes, transfers, and incidents to support audit and compliance requirements (e.g., SSDLC, change control, key control testing)
