Job summary

OCBC is seeking an Applications Support professional to provide 2nd and 3rd line support for banking applications across on-site teams in Malaysia. The role requires understanding of Java/.NET stacks, databases, and Linux/Windows environments.

You will collaborate with cross-border colleagues to understand needs and implement fixes and enhancements. With at least 3 years of hands-on experience in a similar capacity, you will contribute to risk management, system improvements, and user-focused

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of working experience in application support.
• Experience in Level 2 and 3 production support is required.
• Knowledge of Java or .NET technologies and databases is essential.
• Ability to work with cross-border colleagues and on-site teams.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide application support and enhancement for applications used in the bank.
• Perform Level 2 and 3 of production support
• Perform problem investigation – problem identification, root cause analysis, solution definition, development, and implementation.
• Understand the system design and provide impact analysis to any changes.
• Perform enhancement and defect fixing at code level.
• Manage system risks and conjure improvements to mitigate and manage risks
• Work closely with users to understand their needs & issues.

Job Requirements

• Application Technical Support on either of the following:
• Applications based on Java technology and WebLogic/ Websphere/ JBoss OR
• Applications based on .NET technology and Microsoft IIS
• Platform Knowledge on Linux/ UNIX OR Windows Server.
• Database knowledge on MS SQL OR Oracle database.
• Knowledge in Banking IT environment will be a plus.
• 24 x 7 offsite standby support on rotational basis.
• Minimum 3 years of working experience in the same capacity.
• Pleasant personality with good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proactive and team player.
• Able to work with cross border colleagues.
• A choice to work at Menara OCBC or Cyberjaya
